Hi, I know this is way out of warranty, and I don't expect alot of help, but I am running up against an issue with restoring this old quantum byte box back to windows 10.
I had been using it fine, and recently thought about putting a linux distro onto it... mainly just OpenMediaVault... as I wanted to use it to control some storage, and I knew it would run off an SD card if I wasn't able to use the eMMC... So obviously I disabled secure boot and a few other things trying to get it to work, but after spending all day without success I restored the bios settings back to 'optimized defaults' and attempted to restore it from USB (8gb/ntfs/WINPE/with restore file downloaded from your FTP) and it goes through all the motions, I sets everything up, runs through the scripted restore process, completes the restore imaging, attempts to boot for the first time, and eventually the monitor goes black and I look down and the power LED is red... so its off...
I turn it back on and it does the "getting devices ready" - "starting services" - then Getting Devices Ready 1-100% -finally just "Getting Ready" FOREVER... then after about 15 more mins it goes purple... (or sometimes black)
after a hard reboot I get this (in a windows dialog box error)...
The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error... Windows installation cannot proceed. To install windows click OK to restart, then restart the installation...
So any info that might be helpful would be appreciated,
